Well, Mom has made it to England safely. We received a phone message yesterday that her flight was good and she sounded tired but happy. DH took her to the airport and reports that she repacked twice while he was there and was extremely excited (as if the posts didn't show this!).
On our front, things are going better...in a way. DH received a job offer today, which he accepted. The upside is that it's employment, and does pay better than unemployment benefits. Also, the people there are really nice and I think it'll be a much more positive work environment than he had at his previous employment. The downside is that it doesn't beat the benefits' pay by much, and he's way overqualified for it. He has taken a $50,000 pay cut from two years ago, which really hurts. We're really lucky in a lot of ways, however, so I shouldn't complain, so I won't anymore. I'm just grateful that someone's willing to give him a chance. Now I've got to find something as well, to supplement it.
