My "Vacation"

Wednesday: Arrived Gulfport. Wonderful dinner with at the Yacht Club with our friends. Thursday: Took a walk. Broke my foot. Spent the afternoon in the ER. Got brand spanking new pair of crutches for a souvenir. Friday: Sat around with my foot propped up all day. Limped into the Yacht Club later for a birthday party and dinner. Guest of honor was in the hospital. Felt somewhat perversely glad that someone else was worse off than me. Saturday: Sat around with foot propped up all day. Nice dinner at a local Italian restaurant. Sunday: Drove all day (475 miles) to get back to Podunk. Some bruising and very tender areas "above the waist" from using crutches. More later. Maybe.
