Excitement everywhere

While Life has been busy painting the town red, so to speak, things have been pretty busy here, too. DH has a job interview Friday, so we're crossing our fingers hard that things will work out. It's been six weeks since a paycheck, and we're starting to get a little antsy. I've applied to a dozen retail-type places in addition to a couple of ones in my field, but nothing is happening so far. You don't realize how dire the economy situation really is until you apply everywhere and no one has the money to hire you. A year and a half ago, I could have had my pick of positions waiting tables for some extra cash, but now people who have been laid off (like DH) have these jobs. Hopefully, something will turn up, and soon.
